From tonnes per month to the kg/h of each stage: grinding, drying, pelletizing, cooling, bagging and installed power.

Most plants that underperform were born with a machine too small for the target, or with a mill or dryer that cannot keep up with the pellet mill. This tool starts from the tonnes you want to sell per month and the hours you will run, and returns the design capacity of each stage with 85% utilization.
How the raw material arrives decides whether a mill is needed; moisture decides whether a dryer is needed and how much water must be evaporated; the type of product decides whether a mixer is needed. From that come the inlet kg/h of each machine, installed power, approximate shed area and staffing per shift.
With a free account we turn those flows into actual Meelko models: MKFD pellet mills from 50 to 820 kg/h, industrial ring-die mills up to 3,000 kg/h, hammer mills, flash dryers, mixers and conveying. And when the scale justifies it, the complete plant.
No line runs 100% of the shift: start-ups, raw material changes, cleaning and maintenance. It is sized at 85% utilization to reach the tonnes without pushing the machines.
If the raw material comes in above 15% moisture, yes. Pellets leave at 10% and the pellet mill works well between 10 and 15%. Green wood (35-50%) and fresh biomass always need drying.
A small automated line (up to 300 kg/h) runs with one person; up to 1,200 kg/h, two; above that, three per shift plus bagging if it is not automatic.
