Material preparation
To ensure optimal pellets, the raw material must be properly conditioned:
- Ideal moisture: between 9% and 14%.
- Dry forage: similar to that used for baling.
- Pre-grinding: fiber should be ground one millimeter smaller than the desired pellet diameter (e.g., 7 mm grind for 8 mm pellets).
If the material is too dry, it can be rehydrated with a small percentage of water to reach the recommended level.
Balanced diets with alfalfa
In addition to pure alfalfa pellets, the machine allows you to mix up to 40% concentrates and other inputs, producing balanced feeds with higher nutritional value.
