The MKFD200B electric pellet mill is designed to process alfalfa, grasses, and forages into high-density, nutritious pellets, ready for storage and use as balanced feed. Its interchangeable flat die allows you to adjust pellet size according to the diet or animal type, ensuring flexibility and quality in every production.
Raw Material Preparation
To achieve excellent pellet quality, certain conditions must be met:
- Ideal moisture: between 9% and 17%.
- Sun-dried alfalfa: best suited for the process.
- Do not use freshly cut alfalfa: contains too much moisture.
- Overly dry alfalfa: can be rehydrated with a slight addition of water.
- Pre-grinding: forage must be ground to a size smaller than the pellet diameter. Example: for 8 mm pellets, grind material to 7 mm.
If the fiber is too long, pellet appearance suffers and the machine works harder, reducing output.
Possibility to Enrich the Formula
The MKFD200B allows you to combine alfalfa with other concentrates or additives up to 40%, creating more complete and nutritious diets.
Excellent results have been achieved with:
- Corn, soy, and oats.
- Bone meal.
- Vitamin and mineral premixes.
- Salt and shell grit.
For homogeneous mixtures, it is recommended to use a horizontal mixer before feeding the raw material into the pellet mill.
