Forage Preparation
To ensure high-quality pellets, it is essential to properly prepare the raw material:
- Recommended moisture: between 9% and 14%.
- Sun-dried forage: ready for baling, is best suited for pelleting.
- Avoid freshly cut grass, as it contains excess water.
- If too dry, it can be slightly moistened to reach the ideal level.
- Pre-grinding: material should be ground to a size smaller than the pellet diameter (e.g., 7 mm grinding for 8 mm pellets).
This ensures a compact, uniform pellet with good visual appearance.
Balanced Formulas with Alfalfa
The MKFD120B not only produces pure alfalfa pellets but also adapts to the production of balanced diets by mixing other ingredients. Up to 40% concentrates can be included in the mix.
